Murmur Voice Memo ("the App") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the App handles.
1. Information we do NOT collect
The App has no sign-up and no login, and does not collect personally identifiable information (name, email, phone, location, contacts).
2. Microphone and speech recognition
The microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) is used solely to convert your speech into text.
Recognition is performed by your device's OS speech engine. The App does not store your audio or send it to any server of ours.
Depending on your device and settings, the OS speech engine (e.g. Google speech services) may use the network to perform recognition; that processing follows the OS provider's own policy.
You can decline the microphone and still use the App by typing memos directly.
3. Stored only on your device
Your memos, sound/haptic settings, and remove-ads purchase status are stored only on your device and are never transmitted. They are removed when you uninstall the App.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob · UMP)
To keep the App free, it shows Google AdMob ads (banner and rewarded). AdMob may collect and use an Advertising ID, device information, and approximate (IP-based) location to serve/measure ads and prevent fraud.
In applicable regions, UMP consent determines personalized vs non-personalized ads.
You can reset/opt out of ad personalization in device Settings > Google > Ads.
The Remove Ads in-app purchase disables ads.
5. In-app purchases (Google Play)
Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; the App does not collect or store payment details.
6. Third parties
The Advertising ID is shared only with the ad provider (Google AdMob). Speech recognition is handled by your device OS. No other third-party sharing occurs.
7. Children
The App is not directed primarily to children under 13 and collects no personal data.
