Lux Meter does not save your light readings. Only settings (language, calibration factor, sound, and the ad-removal status) are stored on your device and, from version 1.1.0, are excluded from device backup. The app uses Google Firebase Analytics (usage statistics, device model, OS version, approximate region, app instance ID). The ambient light sensor needs no permission and its readings are used only on-device. The app uses Google AdMob (which may collect advertising identifiers, device info and coarse IP-based location) and Google Play Billing for the optional "Remove ads" purchase. Records created by this app are stored only on the user's device. The developer does not receive them on any server and does not retain them. Data kept on the device remains until the user deletes it in the app or uninstalls the app, at which point it is removed with the app. Identifiers and information used for ads and app usage statistics are handled by Google (AdMob, Firebase) and its advertising partners under their own policies and retention periods; the developer does not retain them.
