Need a smooth way out of a boring meeting, an awkward date, or a pushy salesperson? Rescue Call gives you two ways out: pretend to make a call right now, or schedule a realistic fake call to arrive later.

■ Make a call
Pick a caller and an outgoing screen appears with a ringback tone — exactly as if you're on a call right now, so you can step away naturally.

■ Receive a call
Set a caller and when it should ring (5 seconds to 59 minutes). Your phone rings at the set time — even if you lock the screen or close the app — and tapping the notification opens a realistic incoming call screen. Answer for a full call screen with a timer, mute and speaker buttons.
